Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CT) Scans

3D CT Scan offers an undistorted view of the dentition (teeth) that can be used to accurately visualize both erupted and non-erupted dentition, tooth/root orientation, and anomalous structures the conventional 2D radiography cannot.  Our imaging equipment, the Sirona Orthophos SL delivers optimal medium and large field of view (FOV) CT images for comprehensive cases such as dental implants, orthodontics, oral surgery, sleep apnea, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ/TMD), and pathology. For endodontic cases, we offer a small FOV with the same optimal imaging result.

2D Panoramas

A Panoramic image allows for a broad view of the jaws, teeth, sinuses, nasal area, and temporomandibular joints (TMJ).  Panoramas are ideal to diagnose third molars (Wisdom teeth) extractions, and Orthodontic evaluations.

Lateral Cephalometric

A lateral cephalometric image, sometimes referred to simply as a Ceph, is a diagnostic image used by Dentists, Orthodontists, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. It is an analysis of the dental and skeletal relationships of a human skull.  Cephs are primarily used for the Orthodontic treatment planning.

Extraoral Bitewings

Bitewings, most commonly referred to as “check-up x-rays” are one of the most common sets of images taken in a dental office. Bitewings show teeth above the gum line and the height of the bone between teeth. Bitewings also help diagnose gum disease and cavities between teeth. Extraoral Bitewings are ideal for patients with mandibular and/or palatal torus (bony protrusion on the floor or roof of the mouth), limited opening of the jaw, or presents with a gag reflex.
